The EBA was the genesis of the original Bike Program at Emerald Bay in 1996. Since then, tens of thousands of Scouts have crossed the dusty island roads, thanks to the generosity of the EBA faithful.
It is now time to take this Program to the next level.
Starting in 2018, the Camp will construct a new bike shop! The new shop will be approximately 800 sq. ft and will be located adjacent to the Isthmus Road, atop the old Monterey Campsite. The scouts will be on the road right from the start of their journeys and will no longer need to raise a dust storm in Camp.
The EBA asks for your assistance in raising the $60,000 needed to build and outfit this great new addition to the Camp Program.

We dug through the archives, and found this picture of Dave McAlister — opening the first bike shop in 1996!
And here’s Bob Fenton at the second bike shop!
In honor of all that Mr. George has done to support camp over the past decades, the EBA is dedicating the new bike shop to Mr. George. “The EBA Bike Shop Honoring John George” will look over camp much like John George has helped to watch over camp’s growth in his many roles over the last three decades.
Please make a donation today to help us complete the construction of the new bike shop and continue to advance the EBA’s goal of supporting camp.
