It’s time to return to Camp, with a special three-day summer reunion! As always, the weekend will be filled with camaraderie and activities – kayaking, biking, shooting sports, hiking, a campfire and more!

Brothers David & Scott Porter worked on Staff in the 80s and 90s. They were known for their board game nights, cherry fights and “bird calls”…and on a cool summer night, if you listened ever-so-carefully, you’d hear David proclaiming “Bork! Bork! Bork!” across the dusty hills.

The EBA annual wine tasting event is our opportunity to showcase and support the Emerald Bay Campership Program. This program provides an opportunity for worthy Scouts to experience the character-building environment of Camp Emerald Bay.

I recall this as clearly as though it happened yesterday. It was the closing week of Camp in August 1991. We Staff had gathered at the campfire circle, arm in arm, to sing the EB Hymn. On this occasion, however, there was a profound difference.

Daniel Roy Brolliar, Jr, of San Dimas, CA, passed away on December 16, 2020, at the age of 75.
Dan cherished Catalina Island in particular, home to the BSA Camp Emerald Bay, where his two sons and daughter-in-law worked as camp staff for many summers. The facility benefitted from countless hours of his professional expertise as a plumber and features Dan’s custom six-foot intarcia of a pirate, the camp’s mascot, all freely given.
