Inaugural EBA SCUBA Dive Trip

Join us for the inaugural EBA SCUBA Dive Trip as we dive the “Star of Scotland” a shipwreck in ~65 feet of water north of Redondo in the Santa Monica Bay.  We will be leaving Marina Del Rey at 8:00 am and will return to the harbor just in time to join the rest of the crew for the EBA BBQ!  We will be leaving from the public launch ramp in Marina Del Rey at the corner of Admiralty and Fiji Way Saturday September 28th at 8:00 am.  You can either park at the launch ramp for $7 or you can park in the shopping center across the street for free.

The trip will be lead by our very own Adam James, owner of Custom Scuba located here in Marina Del Rey.  Adam has very generously offered to host the day on his boat for his fuel costs alone, a bargain at $20 per diver for the trip. Bring all your own gear including tanks and weights.

If you do not have gear, your best bet is to rent the gear at your local Sport Chalet or similar dive shop.

The Star of Scotland is a  great dive and the photos on this page are from that dive only a few weeks ago.  Adam has told me that he has seen larger sea bass and more of them than you will see at the Italian Gardens on Catalina.  A great alternative to what we normally see on the island and around camp!

The dive will be shallow and you will be with friends, so don’t worry if you are a little rusty like me.  I’m looking forward to seeing you out there!
